Schoenbrunn Palace in Vienna in winter
Once located beyond the city gates of Vienna, the former Imperial Palace is now part of the heart of the ever expanding city. The entire complex is a UNESCO world heritage site, which is not surprising given its ornate halls and rooms. Its sprawling garden and Gloriette are a must-see. Access to the palace gardens is free of charge during opening hours.
The Schoebrunn Winter Pass is a special highlight. The Pass is available from the Palace and the Zoo and provides entry to the palace with an audio guide, without having to wait in line.
